Los Trompos at The New Children’s Museum
The New Children’s Museum is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 8 for the opening of their newest outdoor installation, Los Trompos, designed by Mexican artists Héctor Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena! The ceremony will take place in the morning followed by an all-day, free community celebration in the park with related art-making activities and food trucks.
On October 8 and 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Palomar Health, San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum and Live Well San Diegoare hosting the Health Rock Festival in Escondido. This fun-filled, FREE wellness festival includes live music, appearances by local professional athletes and a custom-designed obstacle course.
Waterfront Pumpkin Patch
Waterfront Park is hosting all kinds of Halloween fun on October 22! Get there before Movies in the Park and find your perfect pumpkin at the Waterfront Pumpkin Patch from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Then, set up your picnic and get ready for some frightful fun with a screening of Ghostbusters: Afterlife at 6 p.m.! Come say hi to First 5 San Diego while you’re there!
Movies in the Park: Potrero County Park
Celebrate Halloween at Potrero County Park on October 29 with a very spooky Movies in the Park event: Hocus Pocus! The movie starts at 4:30 p.m.—arrive early for Halloween themed crafts and activities!
All October kids 12 and under receive FREE admission with a paid adult to more than 50 of San Diego County’s favorite museums, historic sites, aquariums, gardens and more. But that’s not all! Kids also get to play, eat and stay for free with dozens of deals on hotels, activities, attractions and restaurants.
