Live Well San Diego 5k Run Sunday, July 29 Registration: 6:30am

Waterfront Park Downtown, 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego 92101 Live Well San Diego This 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will celebrate the hero in all of us. Come for a walk/run and stay for the hero-themed activities throughout the morning. This event is meant to bring San Diegans together in support of a healthy, safe and thriving San Diego County. Proceeds benefit the San Diego Blood Bank.

NHA – Head Start Let’s Move Olympics

The focus of this event is to foster ways to implement healthy life long habits. Children and parents will participate together in a variety of obstacle course activities (relays, tunnel crawls, leap frog.) The activities and games are developmentally appropriate; modified to fit all age groups, physical levels and can be easily duplicated at home.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Symposium

With over 24,000 grandparents in San Diego County raising their grandchildren and hundreds more relative caregivers, this event honors those who have filled the role of a primary caregiver for a child in need.

This event takes place in 1,400 communities across the nation, involving thousands of volunteers to raise the money needed to save babies’ lives. For over 77 years people in the San Diego community have joined together to walk to ensure moms have full-term pregnancies and babies are born healthy.
