Neighborhood House Association Nutrition Services

On February 16th, the Neighborhood House Association’s (NHA) opened their new Nutrition Services facility. Known as the “central kitchen”, the facility a 16,000 square foot space where staff prepares breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner for thousands of children throughout San Diego County every day. NHA brings made-from-scratch, nutritious, whole, and natural food to preschoolers and the works to exceed the meal guidelines provided by the USDA’s Child Care Food Program.

The new central kitchen grand opening was just Phase I of the project. Phase II will focus on using the new space for workforce development and culinary training.
