During the holidays, routines—as well as all other facets of life—tend to get interrupted.

The new year is a great time to start fresh and get back into the swing of things. This year, make it fun by creating kid-friendly New Year’s resolutions! Here are some ideas to get you started:

Read together: Start your day or end your evenings with a book! Reading boots language skills, promotes relaxations, and gives you an opportunity to connect and bond with your child.

Create a routine: Predictable days provide a sense of calm for the whole family. Establish a routine for a time of day that can be stressful, like bedtime, and see how consistency can make a difference as you end your day.

Get moving: Physical activity not only helps build strong bones and muscles, it’s also great for your mental health. However you want to move—walks, dance parties, hide-and-seek—make time to get active every day.

Try new foods: Boost curiosity, learn about new cultures, and tickle your tastebuds by trying out new recipes together.

What are you going to try this year?
