Breakfast Fruit Cup

Fruit Cup

Encourage your child to eat breakfast.  Children who eat breakfast tend to eat more fruits and vegetables than children who do not.  Breakfast can also increase your child’s learning and decrease behavior problems.  With oranges in season, here’s a quick recipe to ensure your child gets the vitamin C, fiber, and folate to give your child’s brain a boost.

  • Orange, peeled, seeded, and sliced into bite size pieces
  • Banana, peeled and sliced
  • Raisins
  • Lowfat vanilla yogurt
  • Cinnamon

In a bowl, combine fruit. Put one tablespoon of yogurt over fruit and sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon.
