Open House at Jackie Robinson YMCA
On Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, First 5 San Diego participated in the Jackie Robinson YMCA Open House. The event was an opportunity for members of the community to view their programs, services, and facilities.
Approximately 200 people attended the event, which hosted cooking demonstrations, wellness demonstrations, jumpers for kids, swim demonstrations, activities for the whole family, giveaways and much more.
With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA serves an ethnically diverse community of over a quarter of a million people in Southeastern San Diego. Their programs emphasize the importance of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility, to fulfill their mission of helping people realize their fullest potential through the development of spirit, mind, and body.
