Child Signature Program Conference Comes to San Diego
On Feb. 26, 2014, First 5 California’s Early Education Effectiveness Exchange (E4) Learning Academy held its 2014 Child Signature Program Conference at Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, Calif. The annual conference is designed to help early education leaders throughout the state learn new tools and methods to help improve outcomes for children. Kim Medeiros, executive director of First 5 San Diego, delivered the opening remarks.
The program was spearheaded by the Waters Foundation Systems Thinking Group. President Tracy Benson and Sheri Marlin of the Waters Foundation Systems Thinking in Schools Project shared their cutting edge work on systems thinking in education. Their interactive sessions guided participants to create lasting positive outcomes by initiating small changes, identifying leverage points and unintended consequences of decisions, and creating systems that use resources efficiently and effectively.
