Jo Ann Leone is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Marriage and Family Therapist whose career in social services spans more than 30 years.
Ms. Leone is currently the Assistant Executive Director of Maloney-Wilding Foundation, serving foster youth and young adults transitioning out of the foster care system. Her early experiences in case management and direct clinical practice have served as the foundation for her work in program management, development and direction.
Ms. Leone was the start-up Manager for First 5 San Diego’s Healthy Development Services (HDS) program in the South region, as well as a therapeutic preschool program.
She has served as the Director of the National City Collaborative Family Resource Center, as a Foster Parent Recruiter and Trainer for Casey Family Programs, and many other children’s services programs.
Ms. Leone earned a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1981. Ms. Leone is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She formerly served on the San Diego County Commission on Children, Youth and Families.
Ms. Leone is also a proud parent and grandparent to a young child.
